This string of lakes runs north and south in northeastern Lake County. From north to south the lakes are Bluejoint, Stone Corral, Campbell, Upper Campbell, Flagstaff, Swamp, Jones, Anderson, Hart (has own listing), Crump (has own listing) and Pelican. Although the lakes are large, they are shallow and can virtually dry up after a dry year or two. In years of high water levels the lakes are all interconnected and some sharing of the fish present undoubtedly takes place. There are light populations of black crappie and largemouth bass and good populations of white crappie and brown bullheads. Four or five years of good water levels in a row can result in fair numbers of big crappie weighing as much as three and a half pounds. P Heley
