This shallow 680 acre lake is connected to the Pacific Ocean by the world's shortest river ("D" River) and is located just east of Highway 101 in Lincoln City. The lake is stocked with rainbow trout and also has fair populations of largemouth bass, yellow perch and brown bullheads with a chance to catch white and black crappies, bluegills and
channel catfish were stocked years ago. May be the best bullhead lake in western Oregon and the bass population has rebounded somewhat after grass carp were stocked to control the excessive weeds. All of the fish present in Devils are capable of reaching good size and the lake has produced channel cats to 30 pounds in the past. It's a little depressing though, while bassfishing, to realize that more than 90 percent of the swirls one casts to are made by grass carp.
