This 12,700 acre long narrow reservoir is located about 20 miles southwest of the
community of Adrian and has only a few access spots such as Leslie Gulch at the upper end on the east side and four boat ramps on the east side of the lake near the dam. Owyhee produces some large rainbow trout but is more known for its good populations of largemouth and smallmouth bass, black crappies and channel catfish. Yellow perch and brown
bullheads are also present. Although not in danger of drying up, the reservoir did drop down to about ten percent of its normal water volume in the fall of 2002.
