Klickitat County’s Chamberlain Lake is located about 1 ½ miles west of the little town of Lyle. This lake covers about 60 surface acres, reaches depths of about 12 feet depending on the water level behind the dam. It is located at 72 feet of elevation. Fish species include most of the same species as the Columbia River as it is connected to the Bonneville Pool via culvert. Perhaps the most sought after fish are the largemouth and smallmouth black bass, yellow perch, crappie and catfish. There is also the occasional migrant salmon that enters the lake. By Bob Johansen
