King County's little Star Lake covers 34 surface acres and has a maximum depth of about 50 feet. Fish species include large-mouth bass, yellow perch, brown bullhead catfish and planted rainbow trout. The trout fishing is good to very good in the spring. A boat is the best way to fish this lake. Shoreline access is very limited at the street end access area. The launch area is best suited for hand carried craft. The gravel boat launch area is very rough and there is very limited space to maneuver a tow rig and trailer. This little lake can be quite productive for largemouth bass. I've caught and released several fish between 3 and 4 pounds and have seen even larger fish cruising in the clear water. Bob Johansen
