This very pretty 30 acre lake almost dried up completely a few years ago and any future fishing success will be dependent upon it being restocked with fish during
overflow periods from Beale Lake to the north. Snag can be reached by turning west at the road immediately north of the myrtlewood factory and then turning left upon reaching the railroad tracks. A four wheel drive vehicle with good-sized tires should take you to the lake if you don't make any turns. Snag Lake has contained yellow perch, largemouth bass and brown bullheads in the past, but a complete fish kill is believed to have occurred in the fall of 2001. Will once again receive fish from Beale Lake during high water, but they are small fish and it will take several years before the numbers of adult fish will make fishing worthwhile. P Heley
