This 105 acre lake is comprised of two equal- sized sections connected by a narrow 100 yard long channel. Sutton is an excellent trout lake with lots of good-sized rainbows and a few native cutthroat trout taken, but there are also good populations of largemouth bass, yellow perch, bluegills and brown bullheads. The best bass fishing seems to be in the eastern section of the lake and there seems to be lots of fish in the three to seven pound class. Sutton
is located about six miles north of Florence on the east side of Highway 101. The outlet
stream (Sutton Creek) usually provides mediocre fishing for small bass during the summer months.
