I’ve had the pleasure of knowing the founders of Youth Outdoors Unlimited for several years and it’s been awesome to watch this organization work! The team at YOU is tireless when it comes to their mission of providing outdoor adventures for young people that truly appreciate it. At the core of what we do at Northwest Fishing Reports it’s a passion for our sport and by an extension the greater outdoors. It’s easy to get caught up in the latest and greatest, and forget about why I love fishing. Spending just a little time with this organization is a great reminder and Northwest Fishing Reports is proud to partner with this organization and their mission.
I invite you to visit their website and learn more, and get involved and support this organization. There are few things more rewarding. At the bottom of this page is a copy of their recent press release, and links to their website and donations page.
I hope to see many of you at the upcoming Y.O.U. Spokane Banquet and Auction.
Here's a message from Y.O.U.
Dear supporters of youth in the outdoors,
Y.O.U. is very proud to have mentored numerous youth throughout the Pacific Northwest and beyond, giving them the skills needed to foster and continue their love for the outdoors and become lifelong hunters and/or anglers. 2016 was another year of exponential growth for our organization resulting in 6 bear hunts, 2 fishing adventures, 4 elk hunts, and 5 fall deer hunts with 3 of these kids being from the Spokane area. We expect more continued growth in 2017 as we continue to find more youth fitting the organization's medical criteria. Over 15 of the youth participating in these adventures have been from the Spokane area. To fully fund these experiences for our youth we hold many fundraising events throughout the year.

Youth Outdoors is 100% donation funded and all expenses associated with these adventures are covered through Y.O.U.’s various fundraising efforts. This includes all training, licensing, full outfitting, taxidermy, meat preparation, travel and food costs for up to a 3 day hunt or 1 day fishing adventure.
Guide Craig Dowdy of YJ Guide Service donating a Tiger Musky trip for two for the upcoming YOU Banquet & AuctionY.O.U. is excited to announce our 1st Annual Spokane Y.O.U. Auction, at the Hotel RL by Red Lion Spokane at the Park. Attendees will have an opportunity to meet several of the kids we have taken on hunting and fishing trips. The event consists of dinner, silent auction, live auction, and several great raffle games. We are looking for attendees, sponsors and donations for this upcoming event.
We need your help to make this event a success! The more funds we raise, the more youth we can take on these adventures. Each youth is facing different medical challenges, but they are looking forward to their opportunity to enjoy an adventure along with the healing powers of the great outdoors.
