Northwest Fishing Reports

Twin lakes in Idaho has been producing some nice crappie through the ice, about a 30 min drive from Spokane.

never fished newman for crappie but liberty produces many of them but just not so big. I hit the back end of the lake, they are a little deeper then they were last month but I fished yesterday and releases couple dozen of then in the 10-15' of water mostly under old docks. they are in the 6-10" zone...

I Really want to find them crappie and no luck, When I was catching them in fall I had other fisher man tell me that crappie are the best in spring yet I can't seem to find them, is it too early?? What time of day would be best, early morning or late night???

I read these reports about people catching crappie at Liberty Lake and I whent out twice and no luck, I am either using wrong technics or wrong spots... any advice for crappie on that lake???

One more thing when you say launches, I only know of two. The nine mile one and the one on the resort like 25min past the 9mile one. When does the resort open??? I launched at 9mile once last year and its was a one shallow ride.

Gisteppo do you think crappie might be biting this time of year??? or bass? or is it just trout??

I havent done any fishing in a couple of months, and really want to go out, especially need to burn some of that gas out of my boat for winter. any one know of any good fishing, with most lakes closed I dont know where to go. I am not sure anymore about channel cats in liberty, i fished the lake more then dozed of times and havent caught one, I caught like 5-6 or 14-18 inch but they look blueish brownish like. not like the white with black spots i catch at fernan lake in idaho.

For instance if you are bass fishing knowing you are going to be catching 1-5 pound bass would you use 8lb?
or crappie jigging is 6 ok? thats what i vbeen using, i just dont know what i would use for trolling for trout between 14-20inch?? Thanks

whitefish is what your are missing, they are everywhere....i do have a fishing boat with trollers and all the goodies, I am really hoping to find bass or crappie.

Bass-40%...I am new to the whole bass fishing but I am loving it with yamomato or something like that worms.

Panfish-50%....crappie is my favorite large bluegills and perch are great to.
Trout---10%.......only when i am told they are biting good.
