Re: Low profile baitcasting reel
Hello jwright, first i would like to ask is if your hand issue would impede you from thumbing the spool on a baitcaster to provide assistance to the drag? I ask this because most of the low profile reels i use have a small ( in my opinion) max drag which would would need assistance by thumbing the s...

EGGGGSSS and lots and lots of eggs. Maybe even a shrimp cocktail. (sandshrimp and eggs combo) Explore the river too. I understand this is a website to come to for advise but also you have to understand the information you are asking for is likely to be something someone has worked hard to find out a...

Re: reel controversy time!
Honestly I didn't get to fish it very much because water conditions have been muddy and i have my chronarch set up with my bobber and the curado with a spoon. so i can't really tell you which one i like better yet. I have used my chronarch with mono line and casting spoons and i want to say the chro...

Re: reel controversy time!
Good choice with the new curado. I personally have the chronarch and the new curado as well. Both fish amazingly and feel great in my hands. I put all the abu's in my hands and i always came back to the new curado. Also, for the price i definately liked the curado better. I have only taken it out tw...

Cowlitz river smelt
Now that they opened a very limited smelt dipping season, I guess you can call it. Anyone on here plan on giving it a try. I know my relatives are eager to go out and try it.

Re: Wallace River Steelhead
From what I have heard the wallace river hatchery does not rear steelhead anymore so the ones that are caught I assume are stragglers from the sky or wallace steel from the past

Re: Fri/Sat on the Sky/Wallace
Yes actually i do do something about it. Instead of calling it in i text wdfw's number they have so i can be more incognito and not spook the snaggers. The last gamie i saw was at the wallace and he drove back in to the hatchery and i walked back and i looked for him to let him know about some guys ...

Re: Fri/Sat on the Sky/Wallace
I too do a lot of walking and find people snagging almost every outting i go on to the wallace. Not unless i go to the lower wallace and you have to do some serious hiking in the river to get to the holes then i just don't see anyone. If you fish from the hatchery to the hwy 2 bridge there are snagg...

Re: Fri/Sat on the Sky/Wallace
We are suppose to get some rain in the next couple days but i don't think it will blow out the sky so definately sky would be my number one choice. Also i'm surprised you haven't had any problems with snaggers on the wallace spoonman casue they are there every single time i am at the wallace

Re: Fri/Sat on the Sky/Wallace
Honestly don't waste your time on the wallace just go to the sky. I use to love the wallace but now its full of people especially on the weekends. Weekdays i guess are not too bad but i still wouldn't waste my time there cause if there is fish there they are most likely dark. Also there are too many...

Re: Green river
Thanks Dan and Nate. I caught the cutt near the mouth of soos creek and was using float and eggs and actually got a float down almost every cast but they were smaller fish so i would swing and miss. What i eventually started doing was cut a small piece of skein and when the bobber went down i would ...

Re: NF Stillguamish Salmon
Yup definately looks like a sockeye to me as well. When the wallace opened near the hatchery i went out there a week later after it opened and i swear i saw a dead one when i was walking around. Maybe these systems will have a good sockeye run some day?

Re: Anti-snagging rule
Thanks for the quick answers guys. I ask this question because i read fishingboy's report about the wallace and he stated that you can not use jigs there. I don't twitch the jig i use it in combination with a float and i'll tell you the truth, i've been hittin coho on it. After i read his report it ...

Re: Coho Madness!!
Nice i was actually fishing on the skykomish river. I have been lookin on google maps for some new area to fish and found a good little spot that is very secluded. I didn't see one other person the whole day. I was targeting coho with sulfite cures too and was surprised when it jumped and new right ...
