Has anyone tried these? I have not have to add scent just another "gulp" egg with it?

If anyone can help please share your knowledge.. This is a Mitchell Garcia #304. Does anyone have any memories of this reel? Purchased this one over the winter season in the original box with all paper work. Looking forward to using it.... Just want to catch a nice fish then and hang it on the wall ...
