Re: fly fishing for coho?
Depending on the place you go. If there's a lot of seaweed underwater, you may not want to use fast sinking line, or even intermediate line. It may catch seaweed. Seaweed has always been a problem for me. Other things to factor in might be your stripping speed, and the grade of the beach. If you do ...

Re: area 10 shore fishing locations?
Yes, I've tried Lincoln Park quite a few times this season, like 6 - 8 times. So far I saw only 7 fishes got caught, 4 of them are not salmon. LOL
Where on earth are they!!??

Any beach still worth fishing this weekend?
I've been fishing Lincoln Park this year, which was kind to me in mid-to-late August. But since early September, fishing has become extremely slow -- I caught more sea stars than salmon. So I'm wondering, if I'm going out for this weekend, other than Lincoln Park, where else can I go? Carkeek? Dash ...

Re: What kind of eggs to use for spawn sacs?
If you want to make spawn sacks the single eggs are what you want.... If I can rate this reply, I'd give it a 10. Thanks a lot, Bodofish. Yes, actually, I ordered a Spawn Sack Tyer's Kit from Amazon, just $9.00. But from a YouTube video, it looks pretty neat! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vki31kS9...

Re: What kind of eggs to use for spawn sacs?
If you are going to make spawn sacs, pretty much any eggs will do. Some guys will also add canned tuna (the stuff packed in oil) for a little extra scent. If I am floating eggs, I get between 3 & 5 casts out of em unless I put a little borax on em and let em dry over night, then you get more casts,...

Re: What kind of eggs to use for spawn sacs?
Your eggs may be too wet, if they fall off after the first cast.. You can firm them up by drying them out on paper towels for a few hours, or you can dust them with a little borax. All you really have to do, is place the eggs in the middle of the egg loop, and lightly cinch it snug. 5-6 casts sound...

Re: What kind of eggs to use for spawn sacs?
I don't think they're really necessary. If you can find eggs that aren't moldy or deflated and still have their skein intake, you can just place them in an egg looped hook. If you can find some Ray's Bait Skein Eggs, they're the best looking eggs I've seen so far that are sold locally in stores. Di...

Re: What kind of eggs to use for spawn sacs?
I plan on using themon salm on. So I'd rather use real eggs. Are Atlas eggs real eggs?obryan214 wrote:i've used the atlas eggs for trout for years, they are real and work great and I don't see why they wouldn't do well in spawn sacs. the fibers on the skeins may be the membrane.

What kind of eggs to use for spawn sacs?
Hi, I want to make spawn sacs myself, but not sure what kind of eggs to buy. In Fred Myer or Big-5, I saw "CURED EGGS" in the fridge. And on the shelves, there are also eggs in little glass jars for $2.99 each. I remember one of the brands is called.Atlas. For those cured eggs, I can see the eggs ar...

Stay in a car overnight in Monroe? Viable? Legal?
I'm sorry if this topic is not suitable for this forum, but can't seem to find a better place to ask. So please delete it if it's not appropriate. I want to go to Monroe/Sultan for fishing early in the morning, so I have to wake up very early, I'd try to avoid that. So I'm thinking ..... Maybe I can...

Re: How hard it is to dis/assemble a pontoon boat?
As Gringo mentioned, put the toon together at home and transport it in your vehicle, deflated. I can transport mine in my PT Cruiser. Bring a tarp for the ride home to help keep the inside of your car dry. After you put it together and take it a part a few times, you can get it into the 10 - 15 min...

How hard it is to dis/assemble a pontoon boat?
I have a raft, had some really great time on it. But, it comes time to retire it and upgrade to a pontoon boat. But the problem is I don't have a truck, just a station wagon. The only way to carry a pontoon boat is disassemble it and then assemble it back on site. I've never seen people do that, the...

Fishing spots on Clarks Creek in Puyallup?
I have to spend a few hours in Puyallup in early June with nothing to do but wait in the car, near River Rd. So fishing is naturally what I can do to kill time. Puyallup River is not open yet, but I noticed there is a Clarks Creek that drains into Puyallup River. Nope, it's not a juvenile-only creek...
