Re: Parking at 112th - Cecil Moses Memorial Park
you can park there and climb over the waist high fence. There's a couple of trails through the wood that brings you to the west bank with a couple of spots and a spot directly south of the park. Plus side is that you don't need waders as you would on the east bank. Downside is that if you hook a fis...

Puyallup River Open Fishing Spots
Anyone know of locations on the Puyallup that is now open for Salmon? Looks like White River to Carbon River is open, however, I've only fished N Levee Rd area and haven't ventured farther down.

Re: Acquired a porta bote
I have a 10 ft (older gen 3) and a 12 ft (newer gen 4). The 12ft is much more stable, however, is a little heavier and awkward load due to it's length. I rarely use the 12ft unless it's a family outing. I use the newer plastic seats on the older model. I really love these boats due to their portabil...

Re: Green/Duwamish Netting?
If they are, then it's not really stopping the fish. I've been on the river every morning this week, including this morning, around 6:30am-7:30am and there are schools of fish moving through.

Why Coho is Not Biting?
Man, what am I doing wrong? My first year fishing silvers and it's been terrible. No hookup in the past 2 weeks at the lower Duwamish. People around me aren't hooking either. I've tried using jigs in various color combo's, but no luck. Tried vibrax without any luck as well. Not sure what I'm doing w...

Re: Castable crab traps/snares - is it considered fishing?
lakes and rivers, but there are alot of restrictions. Regardless of the regulations, I'm crabbing 2-3 days/week off the docks in area 11 and I see a lot of people with 2 (even 3) poles in the water for 1 person. I have yet to see a game warden in the past month. Regs for two pole endorsement: Two-Po...

Re: Castable crab traps/snares - is it considered fishing?
This is the official response I got from fishregs@dfw.wa.gov "the short answer to your inquiry is no – and for the very reason that you mentioned in your e-mail, which was: “This would mean two poles would have line in the water.” Even though anglers are allowed to use up to two units of crab gear p...

Re: Castable crab traps/snares - is it considered fishing?
Heated topic this seems. I'll contact wdfw for an answer. This past weekend, I saw many people by themselves with two poles and two castable traps in the water or 1 castable trap and 1 pole in the water to fish. I haven't come across any game wardens to ask, but figured I'd start here.

Castable crab traps/snares - is it considered fishing?
Wondering if anyone knows if castable crab traps/snares from a fishing pole count as fishing? I'd like to avoid getting a ticket for having 1 pole with a crab trap/snare and 1 pole for fishing actual fish.

Dock Fishing for Salmon
Checking in to see from others if now is a good time to hit the docks in the Seattle (area 10) and Tacoma (area 11) for Salmon while crabbing? This is my first season salt water fishing and crabbing.

Adding Scents to Powerbait
I know powerbait nuggets are impregnated with scent, but I was wondering if anyone has had success adding extra scent/attractant for trout? Do you use extra scents or do you leave the nuggets as-is?
