I have contacted Bob to chat about this subject. He is a great guy with a ton of experience to share. I've learned a lot talking to him via email.

Bass Fishing the Kitsap Peninsula
The Kitsap Peninsula is where I grew up and call home. I enjoy bass fishing very much and always looking to meet others who fish that area's lakes/ponds. Most of the larger lakes with WDFW launches I have fished. I am curious if anyone has fished any of the smaller lakes/ponds on DNR land out by the...

Kitsap Peninsula Bass Fishing........who's done it?
Just curious if there are any local bass fishing folks on here that fish the Kitsap Peninsula/live in that area? I have a bass boat, grew up on the peninsula, and looking to talk with other folks who know the lakes well for bass fishing opportunities (Long, Kitsap, Wildcat, etc) just to name a few.

Re: Perch and Crappie Lakes in Kitsap or Jefferson
You can also find Crappie in Long Lake (Port Orchard) and lots of Yellow Perch at Island Lake (Mason County/ Shelton). I have heard mostly good things about Crappie fishing at Lake Leland (Jefferson Co.) Good luck!

Re: Wacky Rig Senko Video
Great video Nick. I was wondering where a person can pick up one of those o-ring tools for setting up wacky rigs. Cabela's sell them?

Re: Need some advice on choosing a rod/reel combo
I visited Cabela's this past weekend and found a Shimano setup that meets the above criteria. I plan to hit the water this weekend and see how it does. I appreciate all the suggestions/advice.Mike Carey wrote:

Need some advice on choosing a rod/reel combo
Looking for a good "entry level" spinning reel/rod combo good for drop-shotting. Anything out there that is budget priced for a novice? Looking for prices and locations. Thanks

Determined that the sensor in my oil injection tank is faulty. I was able to discuss my issue on BBC and get great help! Glad it was suggested!

Re: 1988 Mercury 70 outboard oil injection system issues....
I absolutely agree! I am a diesel/heavy equipment tech who is used to doing all my own fixes. If I don't know what I'm working on, I will spend lots of time researching and collecting info so that I am equipped with the right tools and have a comfortable understanding of how the system/component wor...

Re: 1988 Mercury 70 outboard oil injection system issues....
Awesome! This is exactly what I was looking for. I am a DIY guy who is mechanically inclined, but with limited outboard experience. I will post up my issue and go from there. I certainly appreciate it. [thumbup] This is the best online source for Mercury motor info on the 'net. Don Weed is a dual ce...

Re: 1988 Mercury 70 outboard oil injection system issues....
Prior to having the start of this intermitant alarm issue, I have had the boat out on the water 5-6 times without any problems. I would imagine that motor placement would be critical if I took off the outboard and reinstalled it at a different dimension. The outboard has never been off since owning ...

Re: 1988 Mercury 70 outboard oil injection system issues....
AMX, Thanks for the links. I would also like to ad that the key normally beeps/alarms when you turn the ignition on (normal operation). At times, the beeping works and other times it doesn't. Very intermittant on whether the beeping occurs or not. This beeping is also known to occur whether the engi...

Re: 1988 Mercury 70 outboard oil injection system issues....
Took my bass tracker out to Lake Stevens this past weekend. I fired up the 70hp Merc and heard the alarm sound from the control console. The sound was faint, then loud, then faint. It sounded like it was dying. I ran the boat along the shoreline (low speed) and finally the alarm shut off by itself. ...
