Omak Lake - Mission Launch
Sup guys, been a while since I've posted anything here. Earlier this year Omak Lake had it's special season it was gated off, nothing out of the ordinary. But about a month after that season was supposed to end the gate was still there. I'd thought for sure this was a misunderstanding so I went on a...

Palmer Lake - Okanogan County
Just curious if anybody has checked out the lake to see if the ice is gone and if the lake is fishing well.
Temperatures have risen here in Omak quite a bit recently so I'm assuming it's good but was hoping to hear word before I make the drive.

Re: Omak Lake map
It just took them a while to update the regulations and get the pamphlets out I think. Here's a link for all the regulations good through 2018. They've started doing them for a 2 year period now. http://www.colvilletribes.com/media/files/NonMemberFishingRegs2016-18.pdf" onclick="window.open(this.hre...

Re: Faulty Perfection Loops
I've been having issues with fly breaks as well that seem to come out of no where. I've modified a few classic knots like the improved clinch where I'll pass through the eye twice before tying the knot. Haven't had an issue with it yet but I'm going to start learning the Orvis knot as well. I've bee...

Re: Lake Chelan Camping/Fishing Help
I camped at the state park in June with the family and had a blast. Weather was crummy for one of the days but the others were great. We fished from a 16' deep v boat and had absolutely no issues. From what I saw if you fish the mornings you'll be fine there with your boat. I'd recommend contacting ...

Much appreciated.zen leecher wrote:Usually the Okanogan river is warm and the salmon mill around in the Columbia at the Okanogan mouth. That's the usual spot for sockeye angling.

Yup, Brewster Pool is one of the spots. Thanks for the info!Bodofish wrote:What you mean to say is Brewster Pool. Pretty darn close to any red Koke set up tipped with shrimp. Search for it in the river fiahing and Baker Lake.

Any advice on fishing for these? Never caught a sockeye before and I'd be fishing the upper Columbia and Okanogan Rivers.

Family Camping Trip at Chelan State Park

We're scheduled to camp there for four days and three nights and the forecasts are ever changing as I check for updates everyda...

Camping @ Lake Chelan, State Park
Hey guys, was hoping for a little help. I don't know if I've ever fished Lake Chelan before (might have as a little kid) and the family has plans to camp at the state park. We plan on bringing our boat and I was hoping some of our seasoned anglers might be able to tell me if there are any fun areas ...

Oh wow, found a little bit of the same rumor. The reported Omak Lake Mo...

Re: Omak Lake Slaughter
Ever heard that the true depth of Omak Lake is unknown because the bottom is so erratic and that's where the beast hides?
Of course now you google it and it says 325 feet. haha
