It will get much worse before it gets better, that you can be sure of. You would think ga would be a lot cheaper down here on Ft. Lewis but its not. I'm not sure what it is up in and around the Seattle area but it's $3.99 down here for now. :thumbdown

I need a Chainsaw!!

I have been looking for a chainsaw and I can't find one on craigslist. I have tried to get one a couple of times from it and they are always sold before I can get to it. So if anyone is selling one or knows a hot tip on where I can get one for about $50 just to use a handful of times a year for the ...

RE:Fact or Deadly Fiction?

It would take a lot of "Steel" to lay down and let a bear decide as to what he felt like doing with me at the time. I think most men would turn on the fight or flight train of thought and do whatever they thought they could get away with. It is bear season right now though and I personally choose no...

RE:WashingtonLakes.com Summer Picnic/Fishing Event July 19th

I think I'm with Kevinb and KTK on this one but Tapps also sounds pretty nice but I'm at all familiar with the species in the water there, but I do think there might be a larger "member population" Seattle south. I would be good with something within a two hour drive or something that you can set up...

RE:WashingtonLakes.com Summer Picnic/Fishing Event July 19th

Count me in. My work schedule is a little chaotic but I'm sure I can move a few thing around for it. So something I'm a little unclear on is are we supposed to just PM fishislife? Or just let him know on here? Just wondering. TIGHT LINES!!

My daughter was about the same age when she pulled out her first one as well and I didn't even bring the camera! It really is amazing how quickly they get into it as long as the action is on. Welcome to the site and we'll be looking forward to the future post's from the little ones fishing adventures!

RE:favorite trolling lures

For Trout the best I've had is a silver or copper color spinner/spoon on a pink or green mepps. A small hook of course maybe a size 8 to 10. Sometimes wrapping some power bait around the hooks is the way to go when their not hitting the lure by itself. Useing that rig I have pulled a lot of trout ou...

RE:New to the forum

Welcome Bayou, Trust me you won't be diappointed with the bass out here. I too am not from here and being from Oklahoma where bass, catfish and crappie are the trophy catch it was a shock to go places here and pull out very decent bass. I'm not to sure about your area but around here at Ft. Lewis th...

RE:killing off lakes,why?

Wow this topic is a very intresting one but I can tell you from personal experience growing up in warm water country in the mid-west that the predator fish not only limit the action on the water but destroy the quality of the water as well. I like the idea of killing off a lake and growing it from s...

Yeah Tuesday should be a great time to hit the rivers with the full moon and the temp going up FINALLY! I went down to the Nisqually a few days ago and didn't do so great but I plan on finding some roads to get into some more unpopulated areas over on fort Lewis. Maybe I'll do a little better around...

RE:WashingtonLakes.com Trash Cleanup Planning Thread

I would love to help organize the effort in pierce county only my schedule wouldn't permit me to do so, however when someone once to get together to hit a lake here in the county. In fact talking about this reminds me to ask if someone on here would know about this. I grew up in Oklahoma where it is...

RE:Cleaning Up After Someone - Bring A Trash Bag

I know pierce county's American lake could use some attention. I just got into it about two weeks ago with a couple that threw an empty worm can into the water as I floated by picking it up they felt to need to give me they're .02's on my "over achievment". But if no one picks up the crap in the wat...
