RE:Lacamas!??
Fished there 3 weeks in a row now. In each trip Ive caught at least 3 decent bass (all 2 lbs +). If I were you, I would circle the lake fishing the fallen down trees and logs in the water. The fish tend to hide around them on sunny days to escape the sun. I havent had much luck in the lily pads but ...

Anyone every tried cutting your senko up like on the following youtube video? It looks like a sweet idea when the fishing is slow.

Unless the ponds you are finding are already known to hold crappie or unless they are located near the columbia river(introduced by flooding), its doubtful that they would have crappie in them.

Smallmouth by the Portland Airport
Has anyone any ever tried fishing for smallmouth on the rocky shorline of the columbia by the portland airport? Every time I drive over the 205 bridge I tell myself I need to try it out and never get around to it. Also, if you already have a Washington fishing license, do you need an Oregon fishing ...

RE:Kress lake Cowlitz Co.
Pretty much any of the lowland lakes in SW will hold catfish. Crappie are a little more challenging to find. I like to scout out fishing spots using sites like googlemaps satellite imigary. Its amazing how far you can zoom in. I have found a few good Crappie holes by looking for structure in lakes a...

RE:Kress lake Cowlitz Co.
For the chanel cats I used chicken livers and for the bullheads it was the worms that did the trick. I've been fishing at kress for 10 years or so and have only caught 1 crappie in it. If you enjoy fishing for panfish, the lake is loaded with bluegill.

Red Markings/Scars on Bass
Many of the larger bass that I pull in have what appear to be red scabs or scars on them. Does anyone know where they come from?
Birds?
Other fish?
Natural processes?
I'll try to get a good pic of one next time I go out (assuming I catch a fish with them)

RE:Kress lake Cowlitz Co.
Most the the catfish Ive caught in there have been small bullheads. They stocked some channel cats in there 6 to 8 years ago but I think they have mostly been fished out of there. The channel cats that I caught there during that time were probably in the 2 to 3 lb range. If very many of them are sti...

RE:senkos?
Most of the fish I catch on senkos bite before the senko hits the bottom. They tend to hold on to them to because of the flavor. Like the others said, a slack line is the key. when the line is slack the senko will fall horizontally with a slight wobble and if there is a bass neaby they cant resist i...

Try lacamas lake. I took a 1 hr long break from bass fishing there last week and caught around 10 crappie. I found that feather jigs worked the best. I'll try posting the pics of crappies next time I go there.

RE:???????drop shotting????????
Try setting up a wacky rig with a senko while dropshotting. You do that by hooking the senko in the middle so that it is horizontal in the in the water. Senkos will wobble even with the slightest rod movement and this really attracts the bass.

RE:Water Temperatures for Bluegill
The SE corner of Klineline is loaded with bluegill. Most people pass them up for the trout fishing though. Every once and a while you will see huge bass strolling in that same area but good luck trying to catch one. Klineline bass are hard to catch. Ive caught a few time to time. I think most of the...

RE:Columbia Cats
Any of the sloughs coming off of the River are loaded with catfish. The trick is to go out at night. most of the fish that will be caught will be bullheads under 12" but you can find a rockier bottom, with a slight current, you might get into channel cats. Worms are a neverfail bait for catfish, you...
