Re: Do you know what type of fish you buying from the store?
Like any self respecting fisherman, I absolutly will not buy fish from a grocery store. No idea what you are actually getting and more than likely supporting a non-sustainable catch. Don't buy meat either, I get it from Sylvana Meats.

Re: Is high-vis line okay for steelhead/humpies?
Almost all the guide boats use hi-vis mainline. I am not a fan of flourocarbon at all, I use maxima ultragreen for leaders.

I would have certianly said something, and if needed, escorted them away from the creek. Rods and nets may have been broken in the process. I have no problem sounding off when I see blatant violations.

A little brass-o should bring them right back, and probably protect them.

Re: Summer Starry Flounder Advice
I catch live flounder for ling bait with trout hooks and small 1/2" chunks of herring. Usually one or two bounces on the bottom and fish on.

Re: WDFW lists where to catch "GOLDFISH!"
I have seen goldfish or Koi swimming the shallows on lake serene - probably used for bass bait or released on purpose. They were pretty good sized too - 8-10"

Lake Stevens Derby Results?
I only stayed until 9:00 - went home with one small fish and tail between legs. Maybe fishing for halibut Friday and then the derby Saturday wasn't such a good idea. Who needs sleep anyways? Probably didn't help I was pounding the lake for the last two weeks - got lots of 13-14 inchers in the freezer.

Re: Mercury Outboard squeal
My 40 4-stroke does the same - I have isolated it to the upper(below the powerhead) driveshaft bushing. Pulled it apart and greased the bushing, has been quiet so far. Found it by spraying wd-40 up the shaft.
