RE:Even the slowest can learn
*LOL* caught my hat..it was happily floating away once I got some of the water out and a bit off of me....as for tieing off, the boats a little 12 foot fiberglass and wood job that will be getting some of that closed cell spray in foam...pretty sure I'll sink faster than it. The oddest part is that ...

RE:Even the slowest can learn
Oh yeah..the things I learned... 1: Patch ALL the holes dummy 2: tie a rope to yourself to the boat, just in case 3: Put the wallet in a water proof bag (wet cash anyone?) 4: no matter how wide a boat is, a fat boy like me can STILL make it rock 5: even though it seemed like a good idea to take the ...

Even the slowest can learn
I really wanted to post a nice little fishing report on Lake Erie tonight, But thats not going to happen. what IS going to get posted is a fast story on how a simple shake down cruise on a new boat can turn bad fast, even if ones laughing the whole time. Awhile back I bought a 12 foot fiberglass row...

Well if you don't need it, sell it...o:) If I hadn't just bought a minkota (sp?) for $70, I would make an offer..course I might be interested anyway (just don't tell the wife) I recently bought a 11.5 foot fiberglass v hull for 39...

RE:Please help ID this fish
Aye, Rock bass...those have a long history in my family, my grandmother still has the Nebraska state record for one of them, and once Nebraska lost their breeding stock one year they came to my grandparents to find more (She did have the record after all).. but it seems to me they are members of the...

RE:Beaver Lake Bass question
I hit Beaver the other day, more to check it out than really fish it... I fell in love with it, hard to explain, but most of the lakes I've been to out here feel..dead or sterile to me..that one feels a lot like the ones back home do..I will be hitting it hard once I get the wood replaced in my boat.

Normally I can argue either side of anything...in this however...
McCain is just more of the same
Clinton is, well, better off as a joke in the history books
only one real chance of anything new.

RE:West side cats
Well I'm not picky *S* Bullheads and I get along just fine...tough little shits, they are almost as tough to kill off as carp are. I know of a lot of small ponds back home that are over run with them...the key is to drop in some large catfish to prey on them before they get stunted.... 2 to 3 pounde...

RE:FINALLY!!A great carp recipe!
We ate carp a lot back home..One thing we learned was that they changed in taste and texture depending on water..the warmer it is the musher it gets...we had a nice little cold water stream that we would fish for them in. Gramps would either smoke them using a simple brown sugar/salt rub or slice th...
