Re: topwater fishing anyone?
It seems lake WA bass like crankbaits running at 5ft or deeper, althoug in some smaller lakes in the city, just twitching a rapala on the serface will get some attention. I know a place were pumpkinseeds will hit lures the size of them all day long, but you need a boat or float tube. I tried some fr...

Re: topwater fishing anyone?
Top water is my favorite summer time Bassin tecnique. Much more effective in the ponds and lakes on the east coast tho, and can produce alot of big bass and pike. Have had better success with jigs and carolina rigs here in Wa.

Re: new end on ultra lite rod
I have lost a tip or 2. Big 5 has replacment tips for a few bucks. I just take some dikes and snip it off. I then like to take a lighter, and just melt the frays, sand any weirdness out, and glue on the new tip. Gorilla glue works just fine. I always keep a few extra tips and glue in my takle bag

If you want to paint them, use finger nail polish its cheep. I just snatch my Girlfriends or my sisters, so its more or less free! Those are looking great. I am a big fan of making your own lures, I like to save up my morn out rubbers and make all kinds of jigs and spinners n such

Re: Northern Pike Fishing
Holly Crap thats a big fish! I loved catching Pike up in Virginia. Realy wish we had some around here, maybe to eat up all these darn sculpins. It seems every one around here hates them, and not to many Bass fishers either

Re: STOLEN CRAB!!
I wouldnt mess with the flare gun. You never know they might have a firearm, and might not be afraid to use it, and shooting a flare at them might give them more of a reason to shoot at you. The game camera is the better option, and let fish and game, police or sheriff make contact. You could try usi...

Re: Arbaritum or union canal (lake washington)
Id fish the canal over the arboretum. Its usualy productive. Both sides of the cut have some good spots. Right now I use soft crays on the bottom in the mid day-late after noon, and shallow diving rapalas in the early morn and eve. If you can get fresh crays, then rig up for bait fishing, relax under...

Re: main line suggestions
I use both mono and braided. I like the braided much better than mono when using ultra light and bait fishing, but mono on my med action spinning. With my ulta light the thing I hate the most, is when I'm botom fishing, its every snag I break off. ARG! Becuse of the super light line used 2-6pnd, But...

I dont think that blue area is prohibited, sometime when they show husky games they pan out there and theres all kinds of boats sitting there. I cant imagine geting anything bigger than a canoe into the arboretum, to shallow and weedy. Never gotten a bass outa there, but lots of perch and crappie

Re: Crappie in king county?
Ive had good luck on rapalas,grubs,crickets/grasshoppers,worms,bread, and the best yet hotdogs. I dunno why but they just love hotdogs. I've cought them in lakes, rivers, ponds, stream, canals. Best bait being hotdogs on a little hook
