Plunking rod and reel recommendations
I am looking for a rod and reel recommendation for plunking for pinks on the Skagit/Stilly/Snoho rivers. I've plunked before but with a cheap 7ft rod with very little action and a spinning reel but I am looking to get more serious about it this year. I've got an okuma convector cv20L reel ... will t...

Re: Winter steelhead 2014
Thanks for the info. I've been steelhead fishing for many years but recently moved to this part of the state a year ago. If the sky has a good return I will definitely be out there a lot this winter. I've read a lot about the Cowlitz and have seen some big fish come out of there so that will be an o...

No luck on pinks
This is my first salmon season over here in western WA and I've been fishing the Snohomish almost every other day and have had no luck catching anything. I've been fishing for steelhead on the Methow river and had no problems catching those so river fishing is not new to me. So far I've been fishing...

Re: Walleye on lake Entiat.. Help!
I've watched a few videos now, and I am confused on wether I should be using a jig, or a spoon type spinner bait. Also should I go with live or artifical bait. And if im not mistaking I will need T swivels? If anyone has a picture or a diagram on a good walleye setup that would be helpful.

Walleye on lake Entiat.. Help!
I live about 200 feet from lake Entiat with water access and dont know how to catch a single fish out of that water.
I've seen people catch walleye out of there but I dont know what gear to use. Any help would be appreciated, and I will be fishing from a boat not from shore. Thanks!

Brewster pool fishing
I was wondering if my 14' alumacraft would work to fish in the brewster pool. I only have a trolling motor but i've had it out on lake entiat in a pretty strong current so I thought I might be able to take it to brewster for some sockeye fishing. If so, what setup would I need to troll for sockeye? ...

Re: Help with sockeye fishing
Ok thanks, I will look into that. I live near Orondo so Lincoln Rock is closer than Wells, and I do have a discover pass so that wouldn't be a problem. I see your in Waterville so if you ever need anyone to fish with i'd be glad to tag along! Oh and also, how far should I be casting out and how deep...
