Re: Bogy

The gate you guys are talking about is closed. You'd have to walk. Also, I recently went down to the sol duc to the sandy rock hole and it was just me and some local guy talking about the fishing at the Forks rivers and he said "No offense...but the out-of-towners are just screwing it up. I don't ev...

Re: recent cow glowslosh steelhat

So steelies don't attack glowballs? Why would someone go through the trouble of flossin' at night when most people just do it in the day?

I'm confused. Whats the difference?

Re: OK, so what about the new same sex marriage law?

I have a same sex family on my mom's side. I also work closely with a lot of kids from same sex households...so I know what I'm talking about. My argument isn't based on faith (since I don't have one), bias or political affiliation (I'm a libertarian). It is based on experience. I don't care who rai...

Re: OK, so what about the new same sex marriage law?

I work with at-risk kids. I will say that the comment about confusing them on gender roles is correct. And it does degrade the family unit. But our society is full of man/woman jacked-up families, too. When I meet the parents of the kids I train, I understand why they are so screwed up. Some are gay...

Re: OK, so what about the new same sex marriage law?

I don't care if someone wants to marry another dude or girl but I also think 'ultra religious folks' have the right to be 'ultra religious.' Just like left wing nuts have the right to be left wing nuts, and so on and so forth. I wish people would stop being so narrow minded and stop calling people n...

What about judges who get DUIs? Like in Snohomish county? They are all hypocrites. Its about power.

Re: How is cowlitz looking

So I was thinking about heading down to Blue Creek this weekend. Anyone know how it looks right now or if anything is being caught on the boat ramp trail? I was there a couple weeks ago and saw a few rolling but nothing caught.

Re: Lyre River campground

Its a bit of a drive from the Lyre to forks, but not too bad. Hell, there is a camping spot in the campground right next to one of the best holes on the Lyre river (the logjam) for steelhead. If I stay in forks I usually sleep in my SUV in a parking lot (I'm cheap) so I don't know of any good tent c...

Re: Wanna/Need to catch my first steelhead

Keep it simple. There are a lot of techniques and they all produce, but what I did was start with one technique and perfected (as much as anyone can 'perfect' anything) it. My first time out I fished off the side of the road on the Bogachiel. I decided that I would use a bobber and jig so, after hoo...

Re: Dungeness river.

Left my phone in the car and I let my brother in law use it so I can't call. There are still some silvers up at that hatchery hole? Hmmm...I was lookin' at the bogey flows and it looks like it'll be good starting tomorrow if the weather cooperates. I'd be more interested in fishing that than the dun...
