RE:Please break my afternoon of fishing down
And mabee the bigger fish were ther but not commiting. TRAILER HOOKS 4 the win! I have landed more fish this year than any other and i can say 100% it's the adding of trailer hooks. I have lip hooked, side hooked and even 1 tail hooked by the trailer hook only. Not to mention the few that a...

RE:Whos going where for opening day???
I gonna hit Williams! But not on opening day.... too much hassel. Thurs the 29th sounds much better, less boat traffic & less chance of running into undesireables. Hope my motor is fixed buy then though. It went out on newman yesterday & I had to row from the back 40 to the public launch, whew... wh...

Porcupine Bay
Me and a friend are heading to Porcupine Bay tomorrow morning to target some walleye. I have a great map that shows a few good spots to try but this is my first time out for walleye and am not sure what to use. Lindy rigging a worm, or a worm or plastic leach on a jig or walley harness is what I hav...

RE:Lake Roosevelt bank fishing
Me & some friends hit Fort Spokane under the bridge & had a ball. Power bait , rainbow color was the ticket that day. Other days it was a mallow & worm floted on 3ft leader. Great fishing down there still. Gonna hit Porcupine bay next week & see how that goes. Haven't been to that lake much...

Smoking recipes
I am in need of a few good recipes for smoking trout & salmon. I smoked 2 20+ inch trout yesterday and they tuned out great , but was using a very simple method and know I can do better. I put a layer of rocksalt, trout W/ cavity filled w/ brown sugar and another layer of rocksalt on top. Sat in fri...

RE:Liberty Lake or Newmann Lake
The late bite sucks at Liberty! Went out yesterday and surface temp was 40 degrees, only caught 2 perch of decent size (good for the frying pan!) Saw many fish poping their heads up but NO jumpers! Very lethargic fish, but the weather was terrible also. All in all was still a great day on the water,...

Docks mainly for LM and SM from what I have been seeing. I have been getting good strikes on "Live line baits", the green fleck colored 5" stogies. Frogs have done me well on pads. Rock point to the right of pads been ok for SM. Going back out there sometime next week. I have fallen in love w/ this ...

RE:Long Lake (spokane) launches
I have been wondering the same thing. I know it's a long ride down to deeper water from Spokane house, prop kiiler from what I've herd. Only tried once and never again for me, boat too small. Have yet to go out to DNR launch but want to soon.
