I still fish with Dad's olde Abalone spoons. He had 2 left in his Tackle box from years ago. REAL Abalone. They work great on Silvers. And in Lake Wa. for trout.

I actually use an old plastic Tackle box, that I can put up under the Bow. Plenty of room in it, with trays, and holds a lot of stuff. Probably be ok for trolling, but as a backup it wouldn't be enough to push you against a fair tidal current. You could find yourself actually going backwards at full throttle. I don't know about anyone else ... I have been boating (Fishing) for 4 decades, and have never had any issues on the water, and am safe as hell when it comes to big water. So ....
