Re: Sunrise Baits?
Sunrise baits have always fished well for me. Not the secret sauce but have always been consistent and have always fished well for Chinook. I have used these for several years and they have always been on the drier side. I have heard that he and Scott Amerman source roe together.

Jim be sure to post some pictures of your flies after you tie up a few. Would you be willing to sell a few?

Re: Skok
Flogging a dead horse (alternatively beating a dead horse, or beating a dead dog in some parts of the Anglophone world) is an idiom that means a particular request or line of conversation is already foreclosed or otherwise resolved, and any attempt to continue it is futile; or that to continue in a...

Re: Skok
I don't know much about flossing either. Seen guys do it but from watching them do it, it seems like they had to let go about 25 fish that were hooked in the belly or tail before they finally hooked one in the face. I also noticed it has 4 parts. Cast, drift, rip, and reel in. Then repeat. go to th...

Re: Skok
Good job John. Fishing seems to be a dieing art. People seem to want their wish the easy way nowadays. i just can't get over the lack of ethics in fishing these days. as a kid i grew up here then moved. upon my return i find on average during salmon season eighty percent are flossing or snagging. i...

Re: Skok
perhaps they are trying to make it a touch tougher for the snaggy, flossy, ripper crowd. i see that as a good thing being that I've witnessed the lowest and worst behavior human kind has to offer on this river. good job wardens, keep em honest. by the way four mornings out four limits, taken the old...

Re: Skok
jbm
I'm not defending flossing. I'm not having that debate right now, what I said, and stand by, is that the attitude of folks that dislike flossing towards the anglers that do it is unacceptable. You're talking about ethics here. Let's put it on the scales of justice: 1. Using a technique t...

Re: Skok
I'll agree with you on that. If I use a longer leader I dont try to rip a face off. I vary my leader length so i can send down my bait without the swivel ,weight being right there spooking a fish. I use longer leaders at times but I dont call it flossing. Its called presentation.I get angry watchin...

Re: Skok
Look, I apologize for the mouth breather comment but I was annoyed that you called me a troll. I just moved up here from PDX and its a little disheartening to see how accepted flossing is up here. As for ethical, I asked a few of my guide buddies and they all thought I was kidding. One of them asked...

Re: Skok
like i say Nate. sad. i have no trouble with legit anglers, i would however say you and the white tribe of flossers don't belong fishing on some of the states other waters. I'm glad the skok is there for the mouth breathers, keeps em busy and off other fisheries.

Re: Skok
apparently its come to snaggers and flossers needing to be respected as anglers. i couldn't disagree more, they are poachers nothing more. they should be run off by legit anglers. the skok is where the lowest sub humans go to ply their dirtbag ways. the fishery is a total disgrace. used to fish it a...

If youre ripping your rod as hard as you can youre not flossing youre hoping you get lucky and hit a fish gill plate forward.
love this thread lots of good info. going to give it a try this week. how do ...
