RE:Pinks,are they worth it?
As long as pinks are bled, gutted, and put on ice right away, the flesh will remain firm. Pinks are not greasy at all and make good table fair if cared for right away. You are right, that is, if in the river for awhile, they can get soft and off color. But if they've only been in fresh water for a d...

Perch fishing on Flowing Lake?
Can anyone tell me about the perch fishing on Flowing Lake near Monroe? I've been invited to a bbq next sunday afternoon and considered taking my boat and targeting perch for a couple hours.
Any advice or experiences would be great as I've never been there.
Thank you - Matt

45 minute battle on 30 lb test. We had to unhook from the anchor and chase him down before he spooled me.

Curado,
Is the fish you're holding the one you think is 14 lbs? I'm not an expert, but i would guess that fish to be no more than 7lbs. . .

BB, it's been a good little boat and I hate to sell it but I got a bigger boat and it's just too hard to jockey the boats arounds to get to one or the other. Maybe I should just buy a house with more property:compress:

RE:Montlake Canal
I think it has more to do with temperature/pressure changes than anything else (maybe vegetation growth). When the weather has been constant for awhile, it doesn't seem to matter where I go; perch bite. But when the pressure changes drastically, even my best holes (where I'm marking fish) seem vacant.

If you guys want some easy Crappie fishing you need to try Cassidy right away. Look up my last report. The bite is on at sundown, but a buddy of mine went yesterday morning and slayed 'em.

Great Season Ender for WA turkey season
I nailed a big one in Walla Walla County on the 2nd to last day of season; my biggest to date. 10" beard with 1" spurs on both sides. What a way to end the season:cheers:

Lake Sammamish Perch
I have been in touch with many fellow anglers at WL.com about perch fishing. Just wanted to let all of know here (rather than p.m.ing everyone) and if you didn't see the report for 5/17/09, that the perch have moved up to 20 ft depths in Lake Sam. photo attached (hopefully)

The rut finally kicked in for me on Friday the 14th. I was able to bag a decent buck on my last day of hunting. Have a look!
