Re: Brining back the float connection
Eastsider here. I would love to connect and do a shuttle on the: Clark Fork (Montana) St Joe (Idaho) Rufus Woods. Seaton's Grove to 1st net pens. Big triploids can be had. The put out is at Nespelem Bay which means a backtrack upstream of about 1/2 mile against the current. It is impossible to row a...

WTB: Telescoping fly rod, 6wt
Does anyone have for sale, or know where to buy, a telescoping fly rod? I am looking for a 5-6wt telescoping rod. I have plenty of rods, but want a very compact, quick to deploy, fly rod for the pickup.
Thanks for looking.

WTB Pflueger Medalist 1594 RC
Hey folks, I know they are hard to find in good shape but if anyone has an older Pflueger 1594 Medalist RC (or any of the "RC" Medalists) I am interested in buying it. I know they are old school but I love those reels and have fished with them since I was a wee tyke. PM me, or respond here, if you h...

WTB Pflueger 1594 RC
Hi there folks. I am looking for a good 1594 RC. I just like the reel and enjoy a little nostalgia when i use it. I have 3 right now on various rods and am looking for 1-2 more. I am not a collector, nor a re-seller, so I can't pay the "Jackson Hole Antique shop price. Pm me if you have anything for...

Re: Mini Crawdaddy
Those look great!
I have been working on a "backwards" crawdad pattern so when it is retrieved it goes tail first, like a real crawdaddy.
Haven't got the right "tail" action yet.

Re: Your favorite sinking fly line?
Thanks for the links Bodofish, I will check those out. We can always use a good deal on gear. I do have to respond to your claim that fly line materials have a uniform density throughout, and that Density Compensated lines are Marketing BS That is simply not true. Q: How the heck do you think they m...

Re: Your favorite sinking fly line?
In my opinion it would be a disservice to anyone trying to educate themselves about fly lines to not explain this. Buoyancy, or more correctly "Density Compensated" sinking lines cost no more than a non-DC (Density Compensated) lines and they are not a marketing gimmick. The science is simple and it...

Re: Your favorite sinking fly line?
Sinking lines are either buoyancy compensated or not, but there is no consensus that only a level presentation with a buoyancy compensated line is the best. Some lines are indeed buoyancy compensated, but others are not and they have the advantage of moving your presentation through different levels...

Re: Float craft connection (Let's get on the water!)
If anyone ever makes it over to the East side of WA, or N Idaho, NW Montana I could hook up for a shuttle.
I have an 8-9' pontoon good for Class I-II water.
Clark Fork, St Joe, Cd'A, Blackfoot, Bitteroot, etc...even the Spokane, Pend O'reille, Kootenai, Kettle, and so on.

Re: Where have you had problems with breakins or vandalism
I have had similar experiences with our local "police" (if that is what you want to call them. They seem to have the collective attitude that we citizens exist for their benefit...we are here to pay taxes and support them. I could go on for paragraphs about how our local Police have failed me and ma...

I received an email from Rep. Haler and he pulled the Bill from consideration.

Re: House Bill 1056
Thanks everyone, I knew this would strike a chord with the membership here.
This is a supremely bad, ambiguous, and poorly written Bill which punishes the wrong group of people only to placate a few of Haler's constituents.

House Bill 1056
Hey folks, I don't post much but this seems like a big deal. Representative Haler has introduced a Bill that, if passed, would seriously affect a lot of access points to rivers and lakes many of us depend on. This is a bad bill...poorly written and too broadly applied. It punishes the majority of Wa...

Re: Smokers vs. Non Smokers at a dock
Some docks clearly have signs that says no smoking and some dont. So what do you guys think about people complaining about people smoking at docks where its ok? whos right and whos wrong? I put out my cigarette if its bothering people near me or try to smoke far away out of common courtesy. You sir...

Re: Smokers vs. Non Smokers at a dock
This topic and some of the responses remind me of the winter I shoveled 2 feet of snow off the street (plows would take another 2 days to get to our street) so my elderly parents could come visit me and have a place to park. The next door neighbor swooped in and parked there within 5 minutes after I...
