Brand new guy here from the east coast - in looking at the USGS gauge for the Snoqualmie at Carnation, I see that the gauge height is over forty feet. Does that mean it's the actual depth of the water? It would seem impossible that the river could suddenly drop off that steeply or am I reading it in...
