area 9
Just wondering if anybody's been out in area 9 and if they have how theyve been doing? I went out saturday and had a whopping 3 shakers and that was it! Saw a lot of other boats out there but only seen one fish caught.

Ive been on several charters out of washington and there are a lot of great ones. If youre going to try to get out this year see if Phill on the Ultimate has any openings. This guy goes all out.

I personally also jig the buzz bomb, but I have seen many people just cast them out and reel them in with the same success.

I think area nine opens on the 16th. Point no Point is a great place for casting off shore. I took my kids there last year for silvers and watched a guy land a 25lb plus next to us off a white and blue buzz bomb.

Bpete, not sure where you live on area 13 but if it is anywhere near the allyn area try fishing just south of vaughn bay about 200 yds off the beach in 80-140 ft deep. Ive done pretty good here the last couple years. and listen to the swede bonics 101 applied!

live bait in the shallow waters of the puget sound definately my favorite. I usually try to jig up live herring by finding bait balls on the bottom. as for the deep sea stuff, heres a couple pics from last week out of la push.
