Re: Low profile baitcasting reel
I have a Steez EX, Zillion Coastal and Chronarch CI4 and when I catch a bigger chum and it decides to take off on a run I feel that even with my drag set to max (wouldn't suggest it) that I still feel outgunned. Hence I usually just fishing without the drag. I've never fished for Kings using it and ...

WTB - Homemade Lures for Sea Run Cutthroat
After a couple of years of fishing I finally realized that the schools of what I had thought to be large salmon fry that I had diligently avoided and that have followed me (or so I thought) to every beach are actually sea run cutthroat trout. Now I'm really interested in this catch and release fishe...

Anyone seen my net?
I was wondering if anyone picked up a medium sized aluminum salmon net on Wednesday morning at M. Creek. I remember fishing from ~6:40-7:00 AM that day when my rod broke and I had to abandon fishing. I was totally focused on the rod and completely forgot about the net until organizing some things fo...

Re: Steelhead best fishing rod
Yeah never used an Edge Salmon / Steelhead rod, but have their bass rods. The blank is quality, but their workmanship left a lot to be desired for such an upper range rod. You get the same blank in the North Fork Custom rod and you get to select the components and really get involved and even stay t...

I could give you a pretty good idea where to start depending on what your looking to spend. More $ ...

Re: Green River Water Levels
You don't need any type of pass or permit to park at Metzler. That being said you won't even get to the typical fishing spots at Metzler because the water was so high. I met up with some new people who said that they could get to the fishing spots in boots and so took a look myself. The "fishing spo...

Re: Green River Water Levels
Pretty much all the typical holes are and has been completed flooded out from Auburn to Flaming Geyser. There are spots closer to the Duwamish/Green juncture that you can try and maybe one or two spots in Auburn that might be worth trying from what I have seen but overall the river is extremely murk...

Re: Steelhead best fishing rod
Like the person said above. It really depends on your price range. I've listed some recommendations in each price range that you would find in stores. You might or might not get a better deal online, but after all my searching online I've come to realize that waiting for store deals is usually a bet...

Re: WTB - Sabiki Rod
Definitely agree with you there. I have used exactly your suggested setup before though the rod can be anywhere from 6'6" to 8'6" for me. Any medium power or lighter rod has worked really well for me. However, the places I fish in are no longer my place of solitude and I have had up to 20 people (a ...
