Re: Pontoon Trolling Motor & Modifications Help

Battery Update: After checking & topping off the levels in the battery with distilled water, I put the NOCO Genius G3500 battery charger I had just bought on it. Right away it showed that the battery was under 25% charged. 6hrs later, it was still under 25%. I was bummed, thinking that it was a dea...

Re: Catfish in Walla Walla or Yakima rivers

Catfish just dont seem to be something many Wa fishermen are interested in. When I was a kid we used to go night fishing for them quite often in the Calif delta all around Stockton, Antioch, Bethel Is. We loved fried catfish! I'll have to tell my brother you're catching them in the Walla Walla. Tha...

Re: Pontoon Trolling Motor & Modifications Help

A 50 lb will make that pontoon rip I use a 30 and it seems to be a little fast trolling I drag my feet to slot it down I am looking forward to just that, being able to get from point A to point B in as short a period of time as possible, as I have very limited free time to be out on the water to be...

Re: Pontoon Trolling Motor & Modifications Help

Update: Thank you Hewesfisher. I looked into the battery you had suggested and saw that they were still available via 3rd party vendors, but found that at $240+ they were way beyond my means at the moment. I did however take your advice and get the NOCO Genius G3500 smart charger as stated below. I...

Re: Pontoon Trolling Motor & Modifications Help

Omar, Good food for thought you have provided. I am somewhat leery of the Pontoons folding up on themself as well & have put myself on a diet to lose a few lbs of this soft muscle (fat! lol) I have. Every pound lost will help. As I love to tinker, I have been planning out modifications that I want t...

Pontoon Trolling Motor & Modifications Help

Greetings everyone, I would greatly appreciate any & all advice you fine ladies & gentlemen could provide on buying a trolling motor that I will use on a Wilderness 11 pontoon I recently bought. The 11’s are rated for 400lbs & comes pre-setup to install a small troller on the back. (or on the front ...

Any Wilderness Lake Action?

Hello all, Has anyone casted a fly lately over at Wilderness Lake? I was there last night trying out my new pontoon & I saw one determined fellow casting off the new dock, even when it started pouring rain, but he was the only soul in sight & didn't seem to be having much in the way of luck. Just cu...

Re: An Old Man Without a Fish. *Help Wanted*

@SeattleSteeler, I have actually been out to Lake Wilderness quite a few times since moving up here. It’s my family’s rescue dog’s favorite place to romp. While there, I have seen several small schools of fish right off the shore & off the dock next to the beach. I’ve seen a little action off to the...

Re: An Old Man Without a Fish. *Help Wanted*

@JonB, Thank you for listing out the lakes above. I'm on break at work right now, so I'll have to wait until I get home before I can look into those that you mention. I would dearly love to hook onto a large Rainbow or Brown & test my skill. I'd prob lose that battle forthwith, but what a battle it ...

An Old Man Without a Fish. *Help Wanted*

Greetings fellow matching-wits-against-those-with-fins-that-swim club members, My name is Jeff & I live here in Kent. I am looking for someone to feel pity on an old man (me) by showing me what’s to be had in the surrounding area. My job moved me up here 3 years ago from the central valley in CA, wh...
