Re: Strangest by Catch pictures!

Years ago..........many years ago my brother and I were Bass fishing out of an 8' pram. As he reached back to cast the Big Bass lure it's big treble hook grabbed the bone plate behind my ear. It was embedded so deep that it took a surgeon at Everett General and a pair of pliers with his foot up on t...

Re: water temperatures in Big Lake

Big lake has a long history of great fishing. Recently it's off and on though. Growing up in the area Big lake has been a lake I frequent. My kids and I would crappie fish there and somedays catch 150 crappie (keeping only enough for a meal). My personal best bass is 7#'s. And if you dig far into th...

1/2" rebar jigs between 4" and 7" painted white work Great. Either the bottom will grab you or a fish. Either way take plenty of jigs with you.

It is a Gold Mine. May the weather Gods allow you out of the harbor. Fog, winds and heavy rain has delayed my departure more than once.

Re: rate of crab pot theft increasing?

The closer I am to State Parks and public boat launches the more problems I have with theft and clean outs. I loose a pot or two every year.

Re: They took our Crabs

State Park on Camano Island. One year I put my pots in an area with many other pots. A boat full of partiers unhooked my buoys and attached theirs to my pots. Out of respect for the other pots/owners I didn't pull theirs to search for mine. Another year I caught red handed some local beach owners pu...

They took our Crabs

So this weekend I took my grand kids out fishing and crabbing. After dropping the pots we relocated about a 1/4 mile away to fish. I got nervous when I saw a boat in our pots. Trying to get the grand kids and gear stowed so I could confront these guys took longer than I wanted and as I drove up to t...

RE:Transfer of Tolmie State Park to Thurston County

If this is anything like the State vrs Snohomish county it'll mean less time on the water. Snohomish Co. won't open (generally) before 7am and closes at sunset. If you like to fish early or later you are hosed. Hope that's not in your future.:pale:

RE:Interesting things you have come accross while fishing

Trout fishing on Panther Lake and had a lady do a little topless sunbathing for me. I was so impressed I came back a second day and she repeated the show......:cyclopsan
Also I hooked into and brought to the surface a Jet Ski fully intact and sunk to the bottom right behind Haystack rock on Banks.
