has anyone been up to newman lake recentlly? I,m not even going to buy a fishing licence if the ice is'nt safe.

does anyone know the ice conditions for Newman lake ? I May Have to take a drive out there in a day or so to c 4 myself anyway. gettin kabin fever and missing the sight of a big toothy northern coming through the ice !

as a MN ice fisher, i am still new to this area, can anyone tell me the rules on tipups? do i have to have a second line permit added to my WA licence for a tipup along with my pole in ? thanks !
