Burch, Go up to Rattlesnake. Park.. walk down the parking side of lake, towards the opposite end of the launch, like 1500’ Walk down to shoreline, look for area with rocks on shore the size of your head. Last weekend my and a friend, just snorkeled in 3’ of water, turning over rocks. Lots of mud bug...

Re: Constitutionality of watercraft inspection stations
This thing is seriously NO big deal, and you have to step away from the viewpoint of that they are infringing on your rights somehow.. This is a move that is actually out to protect the interests that your care about… this means the waterways that you fish in. It’s not ‘da man’ squashing your rights...

Re: Pink salmon fishing from shore
The pinks are in Puget Sound, well South of where you are fishing. In my experience these fish are just a matter of you being in the right place/right time. I’ve caught them from the beach at all times of the tide cycle. I’ve caught them on the 1st cast, and like the 4th cast, DONE! And then I’ve fi...

Re: Looking for a non-federal lake to try out my inflatable sea eagle se9 with a 62lb thrust trolling motor
Don’t over think the Federal Waters thing. That would be water that is navigable via the ocean, i.e. lake Washington, Samammish, Columbia River,American lake I believe (even though it isn’t connected to salt) There are VERY few waters like this. Seriously just take your Eagle SE 9 down to your neigh...

Re: worm drop shot
Knucklebuster, When you say “Using a split shot to drop shot for Lake Trout, and worms, etc”. I am assuming you are not talking about Lake Trout, but you must be referring to trout? A split shot and sliding sinker won’t be much good at 100-125’ in terms of drop shotting. I usually use 2-3 oz of lead...

JD 39, Your last comment made me laugh. I am sometimes known as “The fishing-Ho” from my friends, because I wind up fishing with a lot of relative strangers via online, etc. But yeah...sometimes you think you have a sense about someone, and then they throw out some complete bat **** crazy thing, and...

Re: Quiet trolling motor
60” seems awfully short.
Don’t settle for something that ‘Might work’. Just get what allows the basic coverage (AND) the allowance for different water conditions.
Having you ‘bow’ mount motor placed by your steerint console, seems like a bit odd.. just to make a 60” work.
