RE:I wanna bass fish...never done it. I need basics please?
Bass fishing is for anyone who is willing to be a "work in progress". Read the forum and try things, but don't get fixated on any one lure or lake. Try different things and learn to correlate the presentation/lure with the conditions. This will help you pattern fish. Also, don't get fooled into thin...

Here are some answers I've given to this question:Drewp wrote:
So what do you cure your eggs with? JK
Canola oil in a skillet on med/hi. A dash of salt and pepper while cooking. Cooked over medium, a dash of tobasco if needed.
Ketchup for color, bull semen to thicken

RE:Putting some thought into your question
You seem to be contradicting yourself when you say you wouldn't share details regarding steelhead/salmon fishing or hunting, but then expect exactly that about bass info. But, I smell ya, Meatloaf. I just have one question: So what do you cure your eggs with? :eye: JK I think its more of an apples/...

THERE IS A GREAT FEATURE ON HERE CALLED "PM" .. this allows personal one on one emails . Keep in mind when dealing with tourney anglers , we dont mind sharing the info but what we are tring to advoid is letting the guys who we compete against know our pin point game plan that can come back to bite ...

If you think that DesertCreek is not sharing uber valuable info right now, then you are missing the flipping point (pun intended - heyo!). :dwarf: I think he is sharing some great info. I also feel that knowing the right questions to ask can lead to more useful information. I'm just not the kind th...

RE:Putting some thought into your question
See, I'll play devil's advocate because in a way, I don't agree with the type of people who crop the background out of their pictures so people don't figure out which dock was holding their fish. For me, unless there is serious money on the line, I'll leave that attitude with the salmon/steelhead gu...

RE:Hitting the water on Friday
I have fished St. Clair a lot. I grew up on that lake. I've had problems finding warmer water on the lake because its so much deeper than most local lakes. Many lakes around here bottom out at 35 feet. St. Clair has 60, 80, and 100 foot areas all over the place with steep banks. Its great toward the...

Hitting the water on Friday
I'll be off at 6:00 AM on Friday morning and I'm gonna get out to do some fishin! Anybody know of any water in the Olympia area that might be worth hitting? Normally, I would just go to any lake and put the time in. This time, I'm bringing a newbie along and I want them to have a decent shot at catc...

If you're willing to do the stop and go, there are some ponds off of the Columbia that are a result of adding in the roads that have some great fishing in them.

Funny TV personality names
I was watching the Banjo Minnow infomercial today and thought about how so many of these TV personalities have really fake, corny, or funny names. The Lindner brothers have a name that seems like any everyday type name. Hank Parker is super ordinary sounding. But guys like Jimmy Houston, Babe Winkle...

Shakey Heads
I've been reading a lot about shakey heads and was wondering what advantage they offer over a texas rig with a pegged sinker? Do they keep the tail of the worm at an up-right position like a football head?

I've been on the Columbia and Willamette for smallies but haven't tried for largemouth in this area yet. Anyone having any luck? Are fish starting to move into the shallows yet?
