RE:Poor mans downrigger techniques.
Thanks a ton. Glad to hear this method isn't just a google legend. I would think that with some careful methods of setting the gear in the water slowly, and taking your time to let the line out, that tangling wouldn't be a problem. I'll have to look into these spreader bars. What will the weight loo...

Poor mans downrigger techniques.
Going trolling for kokes this weekend. I want to try using the 3 way swivel method. Main line on upper swivel, then the bottom swivel will be a 4 foot leader with a 2-4oz weight depending on depth, and the rear swivel will be a 4 foot leader with a dodger or cow bell. I have never tried this before ...

RE:Kokanee Newbie
I am a Kokanee novice. Next time out I am going to try the three way swivel poor mans downrigger setup. I have a selection of 2-5oz sinkers that will be tied to the bottom leg of the three way swivel on 4' of leader. Main line goes on one of the other legs of the three way. Tackle goes on the third ...

RE:Lewis County lakes accessibility??
No one is being a smart ass here. If I had the time I would make a day trip up that way. My folks don't live in this state anymore but will be passing through for three days or so. I will be working till they arrive. Calling the forrest service is a good idea. I guess more or less I was curious if a...

Lewis County lakes accessibility??
When I was growing up we would take monthly trips to Duck & Goose Lakes then later up to Nuwaukem Lakes. Are the forrest service roads still passable up to these lakes? I have not been up that way in over 10 years. Thinking about taking my old man and my son up there for three generations of trout f...

RE:Memorial Day Mess
We were at Bradley lake in Puyallup on Memorial Day.
I was shocked at how much of a mess the place was. I think I gave up counting how many wads of wasted line laying all over the place. Hell I was pulling it out of trees. Even recycled a few bobbers.
