Comment: Palmer lake is not planted with RBT. Plants of kokanee only from the Omak hatchery. Omak hatchery is a spring fed source and is without the copepod. Copepod infestation wiped out the kok population in Palmer in 2016. All year classes. There will be no kok fishing in Palmer for at least 3 years. Probably longer

That is not whirling disease. That particular parasite affects the cartilage of the skull. What you see is most probably the results of a previous infection of one called bacterial coldwater disease.

A recent report (verbal) indicated that Palmer Lake in Okanogan county had a bad copepod infestation this year. CVan anyone confirm this?

I havent seen any recent reports of kokanee catch in Palmer lake Okanogan county. Anyone seen any fish (kokanee) activity in the lake in the last 2 months or so? Anyone fished it lately?
