Re: Skykomish/Wallace
I fished between Sultan and Monroe on 11/12 and 11/13. Both days were slow. Just a few chum and no signs of any silvers. I don't know how it is up by the Wallace.

Re: Snohomish river
I went down to the river over the weekend to have a look. I did not see any fish rolling yet.

Re: Snohomish
Mr. Huli - I fished the Snohomish this morning for a couple of hours with no luck. A lot of people on both banks (on shore and wading) with not much action. There were Coho jumping here and there. Most people throwing spinners and some drifting eggs. Therefore, I went with twitching a jig. I did see...

Skagit River was just announced by Washington Dept of Fish & Wildlife open for Coho through November 30th. Get in touch with Danny of River Chrome Guide Service. He'll get you your limit!

Has anyone fished with Lower Quinault River Guides Fred and Lisa Eastman and if so would you recommend them? If not, any other Quinault fishing guides that you would recommend.

Re: Finding time
I wish I had the magic answer for you, but as you know when you have a family it is very tough to find fishing time. I have a family and full time job. My situation is probably different than yours, but here's how I get my fishing time: 1) I'm very lucky to have an understanding wife. She knows how ...

Re: Smacktalk Hole
My Smacktalk Hole is wherever I'm catching pinks that day! Like jonb stated, look for where the pinks are rolling and practice your technique. I was recently catching a bunch of pinks, but the people on either side of me were catching nothing because they had bad technique.

Re: Brown Trout
Buoyant spoon is actually the model name of the spoon. It looks like any other spoon and doesn't actually float. Don't ask me why they gave it this name! At least the buoyant spoons I have don't float!

Re: Missing Fisherman at Blackmans Lake
Thanks for posting this picture of Nick. This is exactly how I remember him the last time I fished with him and jonb in September ... a big happy smile on his face while he was fishing!

Re: break in
Nate - I'm empathize with your anger and frustration. I had my car window smashed in right in my drive way at home and I had absolutely nothing in the car. Fortunately, I had an alarm in the car and it scared the puke off. Unfortunately in today's society, this can happen any where.

Re: 2014 Steelhead Wrap-Up/Thank You
Be Safe. I know you are a Big Boy and can take care of yourself, but the bay can get rough during bad weather in May. Those jet sleds are loaded down pretty good with camp equipment. You should have fun trying to sort through some of the Chum in July when they start coming into the Nush. However, th...

Re: 2014 Steelhead Wrap-Up/Thank You
I had a feeling it was Bob Kratzer you were guiding for! Hopefully, there will be a ton of Kings this year. Although I am major bummed I won't be able to go Springer fishing with you now! I agree with getting good bug repellant! Funny enough, I bought some natural bug spray oil (no Deet!) and I didn...

Re: Your Favorite Store for Fishing Tackle
Thanks guys for your feedback. Me being in Seattle, OE is usually my first choice because of it's large selection of outdoor gear (not just fishing). However, I'm sometimes frustrated because they don't have a good selection of something I'm looking for or their out of stock on an item. The OE staff...

Your Favorite Store for Fishing Tackle
As the new year begins, I find myself excited about the 2014 fishing season. Today when I was at Outdoor Emporium looking for some tackle, I started wondering if anybody would care to share what's your favorite fishing tackle store for salmon, steelhead, trout, or pan fish gear. Most of us all know ...

Re: Best Way to Store your Cured Eggs
Thanks for the many great tips. Espcially the auto defrost freezer tip. I just bought a manual defrost freezer for my fish so that's where my eggs are going after I vacuum pack them!

Best Way to Store your Cured Eggs
Guys and Gals - this might be a rookie question but I'm wondering what you find is the best way to store your cured eggs and how long is it reasonable to keep them before they are no good for steelhead or salmon fishing. I don't fish much or use eggs much so that's why I have an extra inventory of t...

Re: Haller Lake Trout
That's a great video and I must say even a better rod and reel setup that you have for your son! Seriously, what's the model/brand of that rod and reel. My daughter is ready for casting her own line and the one you are using is just her size! Plus I notice it actually casts. You were like heaving th...
