RE:Cowlitz River/Blue Creek/Barrier Dam

The Cowlitz was great today until they unleashed the dam in the afternoon. But for the most part fishing was hot. Ran into FishingFreak and his homey. Not that crowded either.

RE:Chrome Brite guide service, not so shiny!

Hey Sparky, Matt was just being sarcastic and funny. It goes on a lot on here, and most of us have been in tussles over it and we have now learned to just accept each other. Besides that what the emoticons are for. Because you cant read sarcasm. So please dont take it personal. It's not a cheap shot...

Nice pic Jens! If there is anyone who taught me anything about bobber and jigs on this forum it is Jens. And with drifting corkies its the Flingin one himself. I give great respect to these guys, not that I have knee pads on, but Jens has successfully landed steelhead after steelhead with a bobber s...

Fish in the Elwha?

Anyone ever fished the Elwha with any success? If so where are some spots? I fished under neath the 2 lane bridge last year with no luck. I know that F&W are talking about closing the river down this year to any kind of fishing because they are going to start tearing down that dam. But before they d...

RE:BOOT OF THE YEAR

Would it be releasing it's seed if dead? I dont know odds and ends enough to say I'm an expert about salmon physiology, but it doesnt seem possible if it its dead. Looks like he bled it out too, there's blood on his left hand glove. That could be from another fish, but just pointing that out.

RE:BOOT OF THE YEAR

This pic of a dirty boot was off of www.fishwithjd.com, he has a smoker of the year contest. But I thought I'd share it anyways. The boot is dropping the money all over his pants and he's smiling :-&

RE:Winter Steel

Midway thru dec and they have winter brood stock quota? Yeah Id agree with Matt on this closure. Man the puyallup though. I hope there was no steelies comming up river today. I was driving on river road and they was netting the heck outta that river. I seen 12 boats and several 200-300 gallon totes...

RE:Lamiglass XMG 50

Thanks G-man, I'll probably just send it to them. Like I said I like to hope for the best, especially with a company like Lamiglas. I have seen (on other forums) that they are great with customer service. So we'll see.

RE:Lamiglass XMG 50

Nate I too am heavily questioning Lamiglas right now. I always like to give the benefit of the doubt, take others opinions in consideration and just learn from my own experiences, but in the past 6 months I have had 2 lamiglas rods broken. One was for baitcasting and the other was for spinning. Both...

RE:OP river levels?

At 30 ft the river is in perfect condition in my opinion. Right would be great as the river levels are slowly going down. Scott and I fished it last weekend, and the water was way too low and very clear. Hardly anyone pulled out a fish. And Scott dont worry I'll get those pics and videos up soon. I ...

Crankbait, nice fish. Glad you came out of there with something. This weekend should be real good with the rain they've had, more fish should have pushed their way through.

RE:Need new wading boots - any advice?

So far my Riversheds have been great, especially when climbinh over and under logs, rocks and you name it. The place I have had any sort of problem was on slick rocks, you know like at the Barrier dam above the boat launch. But all I had to do was bury my feet into the rocks to give me stable footin...

That is amazing! I wish I had one of them days. But it would be a pain to have to carry that much from the hatchery run back up to the parking lot :)

RE:Winter Steel

Hey the Bogey was hot, hit the hatchery run. A bit early according to the locals, but that's what people have been saying about this run. It should be in full swing mid - december. Didnt get a chance to fish with Scott, but I had a blast any ways. It took me awhile to finally figure out what they we...
