Re: Walleye
Maybe, I know one person who said he caught one there but he may have been full of it. You are much better off going on the Spokane ARM of lake Roosevelt if you want to target walleye. You can catch a ton of smallies in long lake.

Re: Help me with tips for jigging up walleye
Thanks everyone - I jigged some up this weekend and I have to say it was a lot more fun than bottom walkers. I used the 6lb flourocarbon(even my biggest walleye of my life @ 7lbs would be unlikely to break 6lbs) and a orange /chartreuse jig head with a yamamoto green pumpkin grub and a piece of craw...

Re: Help me with tips for jigging up walleye
Awesome, thank you. I can usually locate some tight schools with bottom walkers but looking forward to trying some jigs soon to change stuff up a little.

Help me with tips for jigging up walleye
Looking for some help and tips on jigging walleye. I have done a lot of bottom bouncing with crawler harnesses in the past and have had great luck on many occasions but the idea of drifting and casting into a school sounds more fun and engaging. I acquired about 30 jigs over the years but have never...

Re: Bass on the Pendoreille River
I have caught some big smallies there, and usually can get into some serious schools of smallies in which it can be one fish after the next pretty much every cast. I certainly hope they do not go after the smallies as I like going there, especially with non-fishers as I can take them to catch a ton ...

Re: Boat in camping
Thank you for the help, on Roosevelt I have never gone on tribal land, the other side in the Spokane arm between Ft. Spokane and Pourquepine Bay. I appreciate the information. I was looking for info on smaller lakes mainly, which are remote on blm land.

Boat in camping
I am interested in the rules for boat in camping, specifically BLM land. I go low impact, usually just a sleeping bag and stove, and I am responsible(pack it out). I grew up backpacking, but now have a bad back and boating in to a remote location is very appealing. All my gear is backpacking gear. I...

Re: Bilge pump
Thanks I hooked it up to the battery- put in an on/ off switch( I do not need a float as I am in the boat when its on the water.) and wrapped the outlet around the electric motor. I might have to play with that later to make sure it does not affect the boat on a plane(ie spray water in the boat from...

Bilge pump
I am new to boating, bought my 14foot starcraft SF about a year ago. I just bought a 1500gph bilge pump for it mainly because it takes on water when the electric trolling motor is on the transom and I am planing with the gas motor, or sometimes in heavy water like 2-3 foot rollers. I am hooking it u...

Gear lube question
I changed my gear lube tonight. I had to switch bottles mid change, and I think a little air may have been put in during the change. It filled until it drizzeled out the top hole. Does the air rise to the top in the case, or is there a chance of an airpocket in the middle of my gear case. I am proba...

RE:New boat/ bilge pump question/other question
With one charger you run the leads to the switch, then 2 sets of wires - one set to each battery - from each side of the 2 position switch - left = batt 1, center = off, right = batt 2. Personaly I'd get another charger, a 2 bank one. Charge both batteries at the same time. It's worth the expense. ...

RE:New boat/ bilge pump question/other question
Thank you, I will look at getting a small bilge pump. I have another add on question. I have 2 batteries, one marine starter/ one deep cycle. I also have the onboard charger. I am currently runing the minnkota to the deep cycle. I run the outboard and fish finder to the marine starter. I am looking ...

New boat/ bilge pump question/other question
I just bought a new to me(used) starcraft 14ft boat. I rigged a starting battery, and a deep cycle (for electric motor) as well as an onboard minnkota charger. Do I need a bilge pump or should I get one? I have the power to run one, and My outboard charges my starting battery while running. I plan o...
