Re: New to Seattle, what fish can I actually caught and eat?

With a daily limit of 15 fish and some getting pretty big it can make for a good day. Plus, they are tasty! Then starting in the late summer our salmon start sh...

Welcome aboard Sam! Guys even if you have your own boat, but want to learn the Lake, I would jump on one of these trips! Very informative and you can learn to maximize your time on the water with what works!

Re: Trolling Divers?

If you are trolling for Kokanee and trout look into spooling your reel with a lead line. Gets you down there without the hastle of losing a fish due to a weight on the line. You can catch most Kokanee in the upper 30' of the water column until Late May, Lead line has no problems running that deep. J...

Re: Lake Stevens Alum Treatments

hope I will not have to look for an alternate fishery. If current practices weren't changed, we all were going to be looking for somewhere else to fish. What I need is a round table with everyone who knows about this lake and we need to draft a plan and present it to Lake Stevens. WDFW is already w...

Re: Lake Stevens Alum Treatments

I do agree with the later treatment being the better option but it would really mess with the Late Spring/Early Summer fry plants. The Lake is almost in a full bloom right now. Chlorophyll levels are matching that of almost Late April last year. High oxygen levels and high external loading should al...

Re: Lake Stevens Alum Treatments

Update from Lake Stevens The treatments are going to take place March 9th- 13th. Also WDFW has moved the stocking date of the Kokanee smolt's back a few weeks till mid June. That will allow food production to be very high and the little guys should be fat and happy. I am also working with a biologis...

March Newsletter

For this months newsletter I want to just focus on the basics of trolling for Kokanee. Time of the year, water depth, weather, lures, and bait/scent all play a huge roll in having a successful day in the water. You can have the right lure but if you aren't fishing were the fish are then its gonna be...
