Where can I find these?

Post by Mossy » Tue Mar 25, 2014 9:38 am

These are my dad's favorite soft plastics (in Texas) and I've used them up here with some success. He's been out for a few years so I thought I'd try to track some down. I'm not sure if renegade is still around?

Might be sold, but it's the only one I saw that didn't say so.

drysuperfly52 is right. It is a Wal-Mart brand, and like so many of what they make, if their supplier does not meet their price goals, or the sales do not meet their goals, they discontinue it. But, that is no different then other companies. For example, the camouflage color gobies Burley made were discontinued, and they were THE hot item at Roosevelt for Walleye.

You still have a sample, and you can make your own, and quite easily. Check out the following web site and the associated link to their "video" section. Then consider their soft plastic starter kit. In no time you can be duplicating the bait in YOUR colors. http://www.makelure.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Just saying....

And then maybe, just maybe, you might want to supply them to some of the WA team..... [thumbsup]

I appreciate the feedback but it looks like renegade soft plastics are out of business so I'm assuming they won't be found in stores, even Walmart. I wish I had the time to make my own plastics but I don't and I don't bass fish as much as I used to. I was just looking to pick up a few packages to send to my dad.

Send me one, and I'll make some for him. I'd need to know what color(s) you want. It can be one that is internally beat up, like from hooks, but the outside needs to resemble the desired outcome. PM me if you want this, or not.

I just wanted to give a big thanks to fishinChristian. He made some of these plastics for us and although he said they aren't quite right, they look great to me! It takes a heck of a guy to do something like that so I just wanted to say thanks again.

You're welcome. The 3D in every direction was a challenge, and I had to learn to vent them, so I gained as well. Hope they work well for you.

Well done FC, well done.

Mossy, I suspect that FC gave you something far better then what you can buy now, but ....... in a pinch, I found the following a couple days ago.

http://www.basspro.com/Bass-Pro-Shops-H ... 230801412/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Not the same, but similar.
