It all depends on the season and conditions. This time of year I try to get fish shallow at first in the mornings if they are biting, but will tend to go deeper as the sun gets up and it gets warmer. If the weather is cooler, cloudy or windy, then I try to stay on a shallower bite longer into the day.

It really depends on allot for me. I usually (especially new lakes) begin hitting west banks. Everything else depends on lake depth, clarity, cover, and weather conditions.

I have 2 agree,..for me it's mostly along the shoreline and the docks,..natural structure as well as man-made,..also working the weedlines!

I usually stick to the shallows and docks and occasionally work the weed lines to try and lure the fish out seems to work pretty well

Like already stated, it depends on the lake, conditions, ect. If I absolutly had to choose one for and all around I would have to go with docks.

I suck at docks. Never caught a fish off of one. I probably hit them at the wrong time. I have most of my success around structure. I have a fairly accurate casting percentage so that helps alot. But if you ask AaronE or trent, I have wrapped a lure around a limb more than once :(

For me it depends on the type of bass
For largemouth i target semi shallow structure and docks and pads and covered shorline
For smallies i look for deep docks, Drop offs and rock piles

I almost always start with any wood cover I can find, especially laydowns. From there, I'll look for matted grass, lily pads, weedlines, docks, rocks, dropoffs, channels...and the list goes on and on. But I can usually find fish on submerged wood.
