Anybody else Chuckin BIG SwimBaits or Top-Water-Baits? If so what are you throwing and what are some results? Follows-Misses-anything? TeamGrippinLipps have been throwing BIG SB'S and Top-Water more and more lately and the action is starting 2 Heat-Up! Just wanted 2 see if anyone else is SB-Bassin and some results if any! I know there are a Select-Few on the site that have a SwimBait-Passion as we do so chime in,..also would love 2 hear of your Top-Water-Exsplosions missed or otherwise!

I've been trying swimbaits I've got a cl8 bait a ms slammer and a abt wagtail but i cant get anything to hit them where have you guys been throwing swimbaits at?. Also does the splash down of a big swimbait scare the fish?
I have been using a j-13 rapala used as a wake bait and doing well with that I have had some good blowups and caught one about 6 lb on a private lake as well as some 3 and 4 lbrs.

We've been Bassin up North,..those are some GREAT SB'S crankster,..as far as the "splash" I wouldn't be 2 concerned with that,..the Bass may think that an Eagle dropped lunch,..lol,..personally the "splash" of my 8" bait makes me smile every-single-time! Don't give up throwing your SB'S crankster,..people always do and that's why they don't hook up,..your MS Slammer floats so toss it near the weedline,..!

Glad to see you are back to your old self and BOLDing words once again.

You are correct, the topwater bite has been quite nice, but it has been great even before June. Wasn't good all day, so you would have to be very selective on your trip selections.

I am curious to know what rods you are equipped with, as the review you left on this site does not seem to be an SB rod.

Based on the rod review alone, one who is in the know could and would come to the quick conclusion ... how can I put this as politely as possible ... When it comes to SBs you are new to the game.

Let me be frank, actually just call me 'Frank'. I personally only give sound advice to friends and sometimes even strangers. When I do, I make for certain I am very educated on the subject, and have a wealth of experience. JMHO

I'd have to say the topwater bite on my last three outings has been non-existent on Lake Washington. i'm fishing some pretty classic topwater areas, and I'm fishing a Sammy in chart/shad, a Sammy 100 in perch color, a gunfish in chart shad, a small popper, and a lucky craft double prop. About the only thing I haven't thrown is a buzzbait, but I have covered some major water, and I'm fishing from 5:30-7:00 a.m. exclusively topwater, and I have yet to have a single blowup or even a visible follow...conditions from my perspective have been textbook! So I'd love to hear from someone who has cracked the code on Lk. Washington topwater this month, because I'm sure I'm in the right areas, and I definitely don't think it's too early or the water is too cold etc.,... anyone?

I am new to the SB game and still haven't caught a single SB fish. My commitment/confidence is still lacking. I have had some follows on an 8 inch bait and had a few strikes with a money minnow but no boated SB fish. I am going to have to leave everything at home except swimbaits and just go get em. Maybe a good class from TGL would do the trick? Just say when and where?

As far as topwater baits go thats my game and haven't even fished topwaters yet that much. I always have a 5in zara tied on though. I have only one topwater fish so far this year and that was caught on a frog!

DW,..normally WaWa is my homelake but our crew has been targeting LMB at some lakes up North,..the BuzzBait-Bite has been AWESOME as of late and we've been throwing SB'S the last few weekends,..on WaWa I haven't tried Top-Water this year,..we keep logs and this time last year the SB-Bite was on North so we went off our logs and have been managing some nice LMB on SB's/BuzzBaits,..last year on WaWa the Top-Water-Bite was minimal for me and I only managed a couple of SMB in the Mercer Slough and near the Huskie Stadium and Seahawk Stadium,..the LMB on the other hand were very elusive and BassFanatic only managed 1 all year at 5+,..Smallies were everywhere as you know and fairly easy game,..I'll be back on WaWa sooner or later searching for some Greenies and maybey you can help,..if not,..HaHa,..no worries either way it's just a matter of time spent on the water for me,..sorry I couldn't be more help with WaWa,..!

Good to see my inference on 'new' status was not alone.

Please correct me if my observations are incorrect.

Quantum rods do not come into the radar of must EXPERINCED SB anglers. Do you know something that other anglers are not aware of? I know, the word experience may confuse some people, so let us together break it down for them. Please tell us roughly the number of days you have been throwing SBs. We will consider this your experince.

You see well rounded. You are always proud of you fish, but those have been the first 2 SB fish posted. I've read most of the posts on this, and my inference is that those 2 fish were your cherries.

Just as you suggested, I parused through the TGL library. Most if not all of the fish have seem to have been caught on the same lake and the same spot and doing the same thing. I noticed alot of profanity as well. I know you will come to rebute my statements, so let me stay ahead of you. There are very few SB fish caught on different locations, and you seem to be lacking from most of the footage.
