Hey BC youll get your mojo back, remeber I went through the same crap early in the year. I agree with most the posts its time to change up our program, maybe go back to spinners and crankbaits, tubes, we are so conditioned this year to throwing senkos and drop shot and had a lot of luck earlier. Just go out and have fun, I for one know that it has to be fun before you will truly come out of it LOL

That is awesome to know. My brothe-inlaw was stationed at Fairchild for a couple of years and he never mentioned anything about it.

I fish Long a lot and have for the last 3 years. I am not catching fish in the same spots I was 2 months ago or even 2 weeks ago. You have to remember that things change quickly in the spring and then they change quicly again as fall approaches. You can't expect to go to a "spot" and catch fish or the same quality of fish for the entire season. You also can't expect one bait or method to hold up for an entire season. I was able to stay on the fish most of the year by following them from deep to shallow as they went to spawn and then following them back out deeper after they spawn.
We have talked about "crutch" baits on this site quite a bit. Spots can turn into a "crutch" just as easily as a bait or method can. It's too late now that the tournament is iver but Iwould explore some new water and new techniques.

PS- Thanks for serving!

got my mojo back today. i did pretty good at newman this morning. got some dinks, several pounders a smallie around two, lm a little larger, and the biggest small mouth i ever seen. i had at the side of the boat ready to come in, but the wife and i couldnt get our sh!+ together in time. i let slack on the line and she shook me. i shoulda brought the net. then i caught and released a muskie. he was around 5 pounds. not the biggest but it sure put a smile on my face. son was catching little perch.
my bad.. i thought when you said "do whatever you want" you meant that it was cool i went fishing. maybe you shouldn't use sarcasm.
