Lake Entiat Columbia Smallmouth

Post by kodacachers » Thu Aug 07, 2014 10:26 am

Hi All,
Going camping at Lincoln Rock on Lake Entiat this weekend. I've watched and read about the great smallmouth fishing on the Columbia, but most of its downstream from Rocky Reach Dam. Anyone have tips specific for Entiat? or know if it should be fished any different than other areas? I'm not much of a bass fisherman, but thought I'd give it a shot. Thanks!!

I've heard there are bass in that part of the river, but the cheap people on another web site never answered my questions about that stretch.

How was it? I am headed over to Chelan this weekend and might check out this area too. Looks pretty good on the map, right by a boat launch too.

Skunked! We checking in at Hooked on Toys and they suggested fishing around Turtle Rock (the island just off Lincoln Rock park). We tried two spots--bouncing rigs (they suggested jigs) off the rock cliffs about 3/4 of the way upstream and the stream that flows in at the downstream end. The cliffs looked real "fishy" but no luck for us. We never did figure out the stream b/c it looked about a foot deep over there. Good luck!!
