How long is the WA bass season?

Post by Jaxamillian » Fri Aug 22, 2008 12:07 am

How long does the fall bite go on? I am contemplating getting a fishing kayak, and this will help me make my decision on if I get it now or wait until next season.

Thanks guys..

I'll fish into mid to late October, everything is weather dependent. I might fish until November this year. Some guys will fish all year round.

I'm not sure about fishing in a kayak all year round. Try looking in the report page and see if you can find any reports from your favorite lakes that are being fished in the fall.

As long as you want it to be. Just be patient and slow things down.

Exactly what I was going to say when I saw this thread. Bass season is as long as you make it. But, it can get miserable out there.

I'll fish tell late October most years than see how the weather is doing and go from there. Once it becomes torrential downpour, I'm off the water.

I am hoping to spread my season a little longer than I usually do. As this is my first "Bass" season I am working on getting out as much as possible. If nothing else I am practicing casting, presentations and jsut relaxing out on the water.
'course they don't have biscuits and gravy ... but if they did, I bet everyone would eat there.

Great attitude. Every day is casting practice, regardless of your luck.

This bass season really is as long as you want it to be, the numbers just drop off dramatically. With the right gear you can yakfish year round. Check this site out if you want to know more about it: Northwest Kayak Anglers

Come to think of it, some of my best LMB fishing was in brush piles while ice fishing.:-$
Too much water, so many fish, too little time.
