Any olive or brown beadhead nymph with a san juan worm dropper following right behind it, never taking my eyes off the strike indicator unless it's in the air.

Fly Fishing is the art of attaching a fake bug to a line and relying on the appropriate manipulation of the rod to deceive the fish into eating a sharp steel hook covered with feathers and fur.

The top one.... It's called a "buttfly" ..... Match the Hatch! LOL!!! The pink one is called a "chernobyl" and I will be using it for pinks in the Skagit River...Looks like it will work....I have never used it before but looks fishy to me! Maybe a favorite wanna be.

RE:favorite fly
lol I've gott'a give it hands down to an Elk Hair Caddis, size 14. Usually the only thing I ever use up here in the little streams I love. Second fav goes to a Hair Wing Thorax. Looks like a caddis, spruce month and even works for mayflies! *sigh* Now I wanna go hit the water and make sure they still work^^)))))))
