i suggest the cable hole. or above proctor. been to the ponds the last 5 days. its been so low, theres almost zero holding water. either that or the hwy side down toward the cable hole. theres an odd one here and there. but really has been sparse at the ponds outlet. and the outlet gate has been open for awhile now.

I've heard the cable hole can get pretty vicious. Heard of guys pulling knifes and crap.

hahahaha. listen. alot of people throw that around and its nonsense. really, dont listen to that garbage. im sure there are a few old timers that express discontent with people in "thier" spots. but knives and stuff are hogwash. the bottom line is if you cant fish in comfort dont head down that way. hit the hwy side, or go above proctor creek a hundred yrds or so. Well, look at me tellin you where to fish....hahahaha. Im just tryin to help. but the reports that come out of reiter tend to get a little over the top sometimes.

ok. maps giving me issues.....if you go to the hwy side of reiter. work the edges from the ponds downstream . proctor is a stream outlet on the hwy side right where the tressel crosses hwy 2. but i think you cant acces it from hwy 2 anymore so you have to walk. anyway. work the hwy side. deeper troughs with the lower water. if you go to the hatchery side. go upriver from hogarty or downriver toward the tailout. ive seen more fish down there the past few days.

i wouldnt worry about it. There are a few folks up there. But if you feel like you might upset someone with your fishing then fish differently or dont go there. I really wouldn't worry about getting stabbed.

Went this morning, there was like 8 other guys "if that" water is to low right now. We hit Wallace and like reiter, the water is to low and no fish seen. Then we went to where the sky and sultan/Wallace meet and there were guys on both sides of the river. Seen 3 fish no hookups. So sad day on the water for sure.

I've seen it at Skagit as well. The sockeye run this year everyone was jammed into one little place since the big sandbar by i5 wasn't showing people were getting into fights and a knife was pulled a few times. Cops were called. Some crazy crap happens out there.
