Hi guys, I am looking to try the cascade river for the first time. I am wondering if I could get some info on where to fish in the river, and what gear I should use? I assume most people will be near the hatchery, but I have never been to this river or area to fish, I usually fish the cowlitz. Any info would be greatly appreciated

theres no fish in the Sky, you will have better luck on the Cascade. I have never fished the Cascade so I dont know where to go either.

If you're closer to sky, then that's where you should go. I'm going there this week. Doesn't really seem to me like the Cascade would be worth the drive at this point.

The Cascade was 12ft leaders and 1oz cannonballs, made me sick. Only a couple of us using eggs. A few guys with long leaders and bare hooks landed a few. I did not recognize any of the guys there as local Cascade guys. Very sad...very few fish as well.

Having a little trouble with that filter again I see. Labeling people will do nothing but get in you trouble down the road.

I was there last Sunday and there wasn't a king in the river, it was pretty low, didn't see a single fish caught in 6 hours.
We caught a few dollies though, so at least we weren't skunked.
Would be fun to stop by there, but I don't think I'd stay there a whole weeken. .

No dude the guys that were snagging were high no joke. Maybe tweeker is a better word but these guys were on something. Cascade has to be good right with the higher flows and snow melt, that's where I would be at if I wasn't going to Reiter
